Chocolate mint sauce
This is a super simple sauce that is excellent over ice cream
What you’ll need:
- 10 York Peppermint Patties (the candy)
- 3 – 5 Tbl cream (depending on how thick you want it)
Melt the candies in the top of a double boiler stirring occasionally. Blend in cream when candies are completely melted. Use immediately. Makes enough to cover 6 servings of ice cream (or 4 if you heap it on like I do!)

Cinnamon apples
Serve this dessert hot, topped with whipped cream or ice cream.
What you’ll need:
10 apples, cored, peeled and sliced thin
2 tsp cinnamon
1 c brown sugar
2 tsp lemon juice
1 dash salt
1 dash nutmeg
Gently mix all ingredients together in a large bowl. Pour into a casserole dish sprayed with non stick cooking spray. Bake @ 375 degrees, covered, for 45 minutes (or until apples are soft and sauce has thickened) stirring every 15 minutes. Makes 8 servings.

Spicy apple topping
This is great over ice cream, pancakes, French toast or to fill crepes!
What you’ll need:
3 Tbl butter
4 apples, sliced and peeled
1 Tbl lemon juice
1 tsp lemon zest
Dash of nutmeg
Dash of ginger
Dash of coriander
1-3 c sugar
Melt butter in a saucepan over low heat. Add apples, lemon juice, lemon zest and spices. Cook for 5 minutes. Stir in sugar and cook until apples are tender, stirring occasionally. Cool slightly before serving.

Mini ice cream cone candies
I love these things! A little time is needed but is a fun & easy recipe that even the kids can enjoy doing.
What you’ll need:
1 bag of plain bugles
1 jar peanut butter
1 block of chocolate or bag of chocolate chips
1 sheet of wax paper (size as needed)
INSTRUCTIONS:
1) fill open ends of bugles with peanut butter
2) melt chocolate until smooth n creamy (microwave is fine)
3) dip peanut butter filled ends in chocolate
4) place on wax paper to cool
5) eat & enjoy
