Chicken fried steak

We fight all the time at my house on whether it’s chicken fried steak or country fried steak. I say it’s chicken fried steak!

What you’ll need:

1 pkg gravy steaks
1 egg
Milk
Flour
Season salt
Pepper
Garlic powder
Onion powder

Beat the egg and milk together. In a separate bowl, mix flour and seasonings. Dip each steak in milk mixture then flour mixture then place in heated oil over medium-high heat turning once halfway through cooking. It takes about 10 minutes for each steak to cook through. Serve with country gravy, mashed potatoes & corn.

Cost:
gravy steaks – $3.49
eggs – $1.09/ dozen
flour – $2.12/5 pound bag
country gravy – $0.39/serving
whole kernel corn – $0.40
potatoes – $2.00/5 lb bag
Total – $4.98
