The Eat Food NOT Money Cookbook

Chile lime sauce

This is great as a marinade or to add flavor to already cooked foods. Surprisingly it’s excellent poured over corn on the cob!

What you’ll need:

¼ c olive oil
2 Tbl chili powder
1 c cilantro
4 garlic cloves
Juice of 3 limes

Combine all ingredients in a food processor or blender and chop/blend just until it’s ‘chunky’. Heat in microwave about 1 minute to use as a sauce. Refrigerate any leftovers in a sealed container and discard after 2 days.

Cost:
limes – $1.99/4
seasonings – $0.75
Total – $2.25
