Penne supreme

Delicious and simple, simple, simple.

What you’ll need:

3 Tbl olive oil, separated
1 container cherry tomatoes, halved
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1 (16 oz) can peas
8 slices bacon, cooked and chopped
1/3 c parmesan cheese
1 pkg penne noodles
Salt & pepper to taste

Cook noodles according to package directions. Drain and set aside. In a skillet, heat 1 ½ Tbl olive oil over medium heat. Add tomato halves and stir fry for 3 minutes. Add garlic, peas and ½ c water. Cook until most of the water has evaporated, about 6 minutes. Remove from heat. Add the remaining 1 ½ Tbl oil and the cheese to the pea mixture. Add pea mixture to noodles, salt and pepper to taste and toss to mix. Makes 8 servings.

peas – $1.09
bacon – $2.29/ 1 pound package
parmesan cheese – $1.99
penne noodles – $1.89
